Understanding Image Compression

Image compression is the process of reducing the size of an image file without sacrificing its quality. There are two types of image compression: lossless and lossy.

Lossless compression removes redundant data from the original file, resulting in a smaller file size while maintaining the original quality. Lossy compression, on the other hand, removes non-essential data from the original file, resulting in a smaller file size but with a slight reduction in quality.

Why Compress Your Images ?

There are several reasons why you might want to compress your images. Large image files can slow down your website's loading speed, which can negatively impact your user experience and SEO ranking. Compressing your images can also free up valuable space on your hard drive or cloud storage.

How Our Image Compression Tool Works

Our image compression tool uses lossy compression to reduce the size of your image files. It supports three file types: PNG, JPG/JPEG, and GIF. Our system analyzes your uploaded images and compresses them to the smallest possible file size without affecting their overall quality.

Using our tool is easy. Simply hit the "Upload Files" button and select the images you want to compress. You can upload up to 12 images at once, and our system will automatically parse out the different file types. Once uploaded, you'll see thumbnails of your images arriving in the queue, and you can monitor their real-time progress.

If you're satisfied with our default compression rate, you can simply hit the "Download All" button to download a ZIP file with all your compressed images. However, if you want more or less compression, you can control the compression rate by moving the quality slider up or down until you settle on a file size/quality setting that's just right for you.

Is It Safe to Compress Images?

Our image compression tool is completely safe to use. Your original files will stay untouched on your system, and our unmanned system purges all data after one hour, so you don't need to worry about the security of your data.
